About the educational trail
The Bátor Educational Trail presents the natural, geological and cultural historical sights of our region. The trail meanders 8.6 km long, encircling the locally protected Nagy-oldal.
We can go through a long period of geography from the volcanic processes that took place deep in the sea 165 million years ago to the formation of the lignite deposits that formed the former richness of the countryside. We can get to know the unique, protected fauna of the Nagy-oldal and get a glimpse into the history of Bátor – dating back almost three thousand years, all the way back to the Bronze Age.
